Jeffrey Ellis Stewart

Jeffrey Ellis Stewart, also known as Jeff to all who knew him, passed away on April 3, 2026. He was 65 years old.

He was born in Mc Rae, Georgia on October 9, 1960 to his loving parents Annette Jones Stewart and James C. Stewart. He returned home with them to Hazlehurst, Georgia to meet his older brother and sister, James C. Stewart Jr (Jim) , and Becky Stewart Miller. They grew up in Hazlehurst, and in Thomasville, Georgia surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He went to high school at Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst where he had good friends, and was looking forward to future endeavors.

Jeff participated in the 4H program in Georgia, was a counselor at Rock Eagle Camp in Georgia, and had the great experience to work as an intern for Senator Talmadge in Washington DC through the 4H program.

He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, Georgia out of high school, then moved to Atlanta to work primarily in the banking business .

He met his wife Terri Daly Stewart at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in 1995 and they were married in 1996. They welcomed two wonderful children, Anna Kathryn Stewart in 1998 and William Edward Stewart in 2000. The family lived in Alpharetta, Georgia for 20+ years, kids attending neighboring schools.

Jeff was able to finish his Bachelor of Business at Kennesaw University in 2006. He continued working in the banking business, health insurance, and assisting Terri with their private practice.

Jeff was recently retired, was enjoying walking daily, reading, being with family and planning vacations and outings together with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife Terri, children Anna and Will, sister Becky, brother Jim, brother in law Paul Miller, sister in law Susan Storter, sister in law Karen Daly Junker, brother in law Christian Junker. He loved his many nieces and nephews, Margaret Miller Lacy, Emily Miller Landers, Judith Stewart Machado, James C. Stewart III (Jay), Janelle Stewart, Jackson Stewart, and Isabel Junker.

Jeff would say he was a simple man, who came from small towns in south Georgia, loved his family, his roots, and had a strong faith in God.

He loved his family fiercely, enjoyed the beach, golf, good food, 70’s music, and current events. He loved to laugh and sing along to good music.

A Memorial service will be held on May 7, 2026, 2PM at Kellett Chapel, Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Road, Atlanta, GA 30305.

Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

He is now home and in Peace with his heavenly Father.
