James Paul Miller

Mr. James Paul Miller of Hiram, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Cobb County Hospital.
Born December 7, 1921 in Cairo, Georgia, Mr. Miller was the son of Algia Green Miller and Rosie Mae Strickland Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Miller served in the United States Army for 27 years. He participated in WWII, the Korean War, and was one of the highest ranking Warrant Officers at the time of his retirement in 1967. He also retired from Lockheed Martin as a Systems Analyst in 1984.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Landry Miller; his sister Ruby Hayes Rumsey; his son James Patrick Miller; daughters Alice Almolene Kilic, Evelyn Paulette Merritt and Susanne Alice Hardin; step-sons James Patrick Hart, Ronald Alexander Hart, John Thomas Hart and Alan Lee Hart; along with 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held March 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church, 5725 Fords Road, Acworth, Georgia 30101.
Mr. Miller requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church, 5725 Fords Road, Acworth, Georgia 30101. Please make checks payable to St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church, and mark for Jim Miller.
