Helga Agnes Elmore

Helga Agnes Elmore née Kurzbach was born on August 19, 1930 in Gelsenkirchen, Westphalia, Germany. She died on September 1, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. Helga met USAF Technical Sergeant Doyle Elmore while he was stationed in Rheinland-Pfalz. They were married on January 27, 1954 and began their married life in Montgomery, Alabama. Helga is preceded in death by her former husband and survived by three daughters; Celeste Cole and husband Terry of Asheville, NC, Claudia McDavid and husband Stephen of Decatur, Ga, and Heidi Wright and husband Wayne of Smyrna, Ga. Helga was a caring mother and doting “Oma” of six surviving grandchildren; Kelin McDavid, Matthew Wright, Grace Wright, Olivia McDavid, Cyrus McDavid, and Emma Wright. She is also survived by her brother Günter Kurzbach Ruth and other relatives living in Germany. Oma kept in close contact with her daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren and prayed for each of them every day. She is truly missed. Gott segne.
