Grace Evelyn Kolb

Grace Evelyn Smiley Kolb, of Carlisle, AR, died July 3, 2015, at age 92.
She was born in Carlisle in 1922 and lived there and in Little Rock, spending her final years with family in Atlanta, GA. After attending the University of Arkansas, where she received a B.A. in Education, she taught at Little Rock Central High School and worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital until her retirement. For over 45 years she also worked as business manager for the Smiley Farm Partnership.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Myron D. Kolb; parents, Homer E. and Kathleen Smiley; sisters Edith Taylor Ralph, Jessie GosneyKenneth, nephew, James E. Gosney; She is survived by her son, John W. Clayton, Jr. Regina, daughter, Judith Flair Harry; grandsons John W. Clayton III, Jason W. Clayton Mylena, John Michael Flair Christine, Christopher Ryan Flair Danielle and granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Engle Billy; nieces, Mary Mishu Sam, Ruth McElroy Ron, Kat Gosney, Alice Richardson; nephews Stephen Taylor, Charles S. Taylor Delphine; and six great grandchildren.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a very active supporter of her church and Harding University. She will be remembered as a kind and giving person always ready to help others.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 8, 10:00 a.m., Pine Crest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5, Alexander, AR 72202.
