Gloria Ann Abeyta

Gloria Ann Abeyta, 89, of Jackson, GA, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024.

Gloria, known as “mom” to many, was born on June 9, 1935 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Mary Ann McDaniel and the late Willie Guy Sibley. She was preceded in death by her husband, José Ernesto Abeyta, her brother James Thomas Sibley, and grandchildren Dustin Lamar Tolbert and Megan Amanda Barr.

Gloria is survived by her seven children, Theresé Blease, Trini Abeyta, Mackie Rhodes, Karen Barbour, Kathy Darden, Doreen Rowe, and Michelle Harmon; her beloved nephew, Jimmy Sibley; 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; her brothers Harold Sibley, Marvin Sibley, and Jerry McDaniel; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Gloria will be held on January 11, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Abeyta home in Jackson, GA. For more information, please call 770-827-3245. The family request in lieu of flowers the memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
