Gerald Charles Lane

Gerald C. Lane, 82, passed away at home in Kennesaw, GA, Sunday, May 3, 2015. He was born March 19, 1933 in Cheboygan, MI. Gerald graduated from Soo High School and Lawton School of Radiology. He served 9 years in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley Williams, son; Gerald Jr Dianne of Kalamazoo, MI, 5 daughters; Kathy Steve McDonald of Grand Rapids, MI, Karen Rick Coates of Brunswick, OH, Debra Jerry Kelly of Spring, TX, Diana Tom Butler of Tuscon, AZ, Linda Kevin Greene of Kennesaw, GA, 1 brother Ronald of The Soo, 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Lee, parents Ruby Barber and Dwayne Lane, sisters; Blanche Yonovich and Elnora Burris, brothers; Dwayne Bud, Harold and Arnold.
He loved sports, especially golf and bowling and was an avid boater, but his greatest love was his family.
A graveside service will be held at Hill Crest Cemetery, The Soo, MI, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with reception to follow at the Ceremonial Building Niigaanagiizhik.
