Gayle FitzSimons Gragg passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

She is survived by her son Matt Gragg (Beth); daughter MaryAnne Mason (Walt); four beautiful grandchildren (Kathleen, Sophia, Jeremiah, and David); brother Lee FitzSimons (Theresa); niece Anne FitzSimons; and nephews Jim (Brandi), Mike (Tori), and Mark FitzSimons, as well as several great-grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; her parents, Middleton and Howard “Pie” FitzSimons; and her brothers, Foster and Mit FitzSimons.

Born on March 20, 1949, Gayle lived a full life filled with love, laughter, and family. In her twenties, she traveled to Korea to serve as a Red Cross Donut Dolly. She spent fifteen years as an educator at McEachern High School.

Gayle was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church in Marietta, Georgia, where she was actively involved in her Bible study group. She enjoyed American history and was fond of traveling to Revolutionary and Civil War sites around the Southeast, with Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park being of particular importance. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she was proud of.

At Gayle’s request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint James Episcopal Church, 161 Church Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060.
