It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Scott Burns on November 15, 2025, at the age of 65. Following a 5-year courageous battle with mucosal melanoma, Doug passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted wife, Kathy, and his children, Jordan and Chris.
Doug was known for his unwavering kindness, generosity, and genuine warmth. His sense of humor and sharp wit brightened every room and with his generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether through moments of laughter or thoughtful conversation, Doug made everyone around him feel valued and heard. Doug's legacy will live on through the countless memories he created and the positive impact he made on the lives of others.
Doug spent 19 years building a rewarding career with Home Depot, where he was known for his work ethic and camaraderie. Following his time with Home Depot, Doug embarked on an 11-year career with Tuff Shed, ultimately retiring in 2022 as Vice President Sales, Home Depot Division.
Doug had a love for animals and sports that was outshone only by his passionate dedication to his family. He was married for 38 years to the love of his life, Kathy.
