David Clark Priestly

November 24, 1949 — June 28, 2015

David Clark Priestly, 65 of Jonesboro Georgia joined his wife Karen Mary Priestly in heaven on June 28th 2015 at 6:42 p.m. David was born on November 24th 1949 in Jamaica Plain Massachusetts to the late James and Barbara Priestly.

Dave began his career in sheet metal in Northern Ohio in July of 1985. He transferred his membership to Local 85 in Atlanta, GA in December of 1991. During his career Dave worked various projects around Augusta, Savannah and Atlanta, including nuclear shut downs of which he excelled. Dave was well respected by his union brethren and will be greatly missed on the job sites and monthly union meetings.

Dave was an amazing husband, dad and pap paw to not only his blood family but also many others. He was a great mentor, coach, friend, brother, son, co- worker, and impacted many lives in numerous meaningful ways. Dave had a sense of humor like no other, and anyone who knew him can attest to that. Dave was witty, courageous, fun, honest, and always placed others before him. Dave was passionate about his family, job and his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and bird watching. Dave’s other hobbies included cooking for his family, collecting various unique items and more importantly watching his children and grandchildren’s milestones in life.

Dave will be greatly missed by his four daughters, Suzanne, Barbara, Angel and Rhiannon as well as his 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 1 sister and his step mother. Dave left many loyal friendships that he truly cherished throughout his years.

Dad, pap paw, Dave this is not a “goodbye” it’s a “see you later” We all love you MORE and we know that you will ALWAYS be with us.
