David Ray Johnson

Mr. David Ray Johnson, age 72, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away March 25th, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 21, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Dottie and Johnny Johnson. David lived his life to the fullest and deeply loved his wife, family, and friends. With Peggy by his side, he achieved his greatest joy – his family, which he proudly put first at every turn of his life. His legacy is reflected in the lives of those he loved and the way he lived.
Dave worked and retired from Delta/Worldspan after 46 years of great service. He found a late love riding his Harley and exploring this great land God created. Through these adventures, he forged many amazing friendships. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Peggy; children Ashleigh (David) Waits, Julie (Eric) Trehern, and Blake (Rachel) Johnson; five grandchildren, Murphy, Ansley, Wyatt, Micah, and Joseph.

Services will be held Friday, March 31st, 2023, at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 1815 Blackwell Rd Marietta, Georgia 30066. The family will receive friends in the foyer from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. A funeral mass will follow at 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary with Monsignor Patrick Bishop officiating.
