Darshan Kingsley Dorsey

Darshan Kingsley Dorsey (Son Love) was born November 17, 1983 in Culver City, CA and Journeyed On December 26, 2025 in Atlanta, GA at the age of 42. Darshan grew up in Lake Forest Park, WA with his mother, Sura Charlier, step-father, Jim Charlier, sister, Tarrajna Dorsey, and half-sibling, Camille Charlier.

Darshan was brilliant and creative. He loved Space and wanted to be an astronaut when he grew up. He attended schools in the Shoreline school district where his favorite subjects were math, art, and P.E. Tutored by his grandmother, Adeline Hupp, Darshan became a formidable chess player, winning many tournaments at a young age. He studied ballet and danced the role of the Prince in the North Seattle Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. He ran Cross Country and played the violin in the Kellogg Middle School and Shorecrest High School orchestras. He was also a talented writer, completing his historical fantasy novella Shadows In Time for his senior project.

After high school, Darshan attended the University of WA, Seattle, but he really wanted to fly, so he transferred to Big Bend Community College, where he obtained an AS in Commerical Aviation and a pilot’s license. He returned to the Jackson School at the U.W to finish his BS in International/Global Studies – Human Security, min. Geography.

Darshan was a polymath and applied futurist: Geographer, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Superforecaster, Quant, Writer, and AI Creative. He was well-respected by his supervisors and colleagues at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Dept. of the Army, University of WA Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, and Amazon.

Darshan created his own forecasting programs/tools and started his own advising/consulting firm Dorsey Intel in 2011. He received special recognition from the Good Judgement Project for his accuracy as a superforecaster:

- #2 of 5,363 forecasters in the CFA® Societies Finance Forecasting Challenge 2019

In 2023, Darshan founded Skykhan Media, sharing his writing and creative work on the platforms Substack, Suno, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. His most recent interest was exploring the potential applications of AI as a resource and tool in business, investing, and production.

Darshan loved exploring/adventuring, travel, Nature (especially birds – striped and barred owls were his favorites, cats, and Ocean). He loved maps, family, art, photography, film, music, literature, astronomy, history, archeology, gastronomy, epic hikes, museums, giant old trees and botanical gardens. Reading out loud was a favorite family activity, particularly science-fiction/fantasy. Darshan was generous with his time and expertise, sharing helpful resources with others in support of their interests and projects. He was a life-long learner, constantly parsing and applying what he garnered from his extensive reading and research. His wish was to make the world a better place through analysis/research and intelligent system design. He did that in a myriad of ways. He was a treasured son, brother, uncle, colleague, mentor, and friend. His friends shared that they could confide in him without ever feeling judged. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed puns(!). A spiritual seeker, Darshan was dedicated toward finding inspiration and guidance from the world’s spiritual traditions and from Nature. He attended classes and events at Chabad Intown, ISKCON, and the Kalyan Center.

Darshan was deeply loved and is deeply missed by family, friends, and colleagues. His lightful, heartful, creative, intelligent presence enriched, and continues to enrich our lives.
