Cynthia Rose Henke

July 26, 1954 — July 12, 2025

Cynthia was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 26, 1954, to Donald and Florence Davis. She was raised in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, and graduated from Park High School in 1974. Cindy began her lifelong career as a medical transcriptionist at St. Paul Radiology and later worked at Ramsey Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Cindy eventually moved north to Saginaw, MN, with her husband Jack and daughter Ashley, where they resided for the next 30 years. She continued her career as a medical transcriptionist at the Duluth Clinic, then St. Luke’s Hospital of Duluth, MN, and finished her career working for Cuyuna Medical Clinic.

Cindy had a love for animals, running, and traveling. She spent many years visiting, and eventually staying for months at a time, in Mazatlán, Mexico, with her husband Jack. It was one of her favorite places. Cindy was a dedicated and hardworking woman who had just recently retired in April of this year after her battle with Multiple Myeloma became too consuming.

In 1994, she got saved, putting her trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of her sins. In the years that followed, Cindy was instrumental in sharing the Gospel with many family members and friends, who also trusted Christ for the guarantee of eternal life.

Cindy’s greatest treasures were her family, and she held a particularly special bond with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She passed away at home, surrounded by her husband, daughter, grandchildren, sisters, and friends during the last hours of her life.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Florence Davis, and her stepchildren, Nathanial and Melissa Henke. She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Ashley Henke (Craig Lofdahl); brothers, Donald Davis (Patty) and Bob Davis (Lisa); sisters, Pam Andrews (Clayton), Colleen “Bean” Andrews (Larry), and Jane Lescarbeau (Todd); grandchildren, Lilyana, Isaiah, Micah, and Kyson; sisters-in-law, Sharon Goodman and Jill Devanney (Dick); along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on July 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Duluth Bible Church in Duluth, Minnesota (duluthbible.org). In lieu of flowers, please donate to https://gracetruthbible.org under “Giving – General Fund,” and note Cindy’s name. All funds will be directed toward children’s ministries, which was Cindy’s passion.

An additional service will be held on August 9, 2025 (time to be determined) in Warner Robins, GA.
