Charlie Brooks Williams, Jr.

Charlie Brooks Williams Jr., 66 of Greenville, SC passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Augusta, Georgia.

Born in Augusta, Georgia on December 7, 1950, he was the son of the late Charlie Brooks Williams and Francis Viola Albright.

Mr. Williams worked and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Charlie later started Upstate Renovations. He was an avid fisherman and outdoors man. He enjoyed shag dancing where he met his beloved Sherry Schell of Pickens, SC.

Surviving are his two sons- Keith Harvey Williams (Robin) of Greenville, SC and Murray Davis Williams (Shasta) of Taylors, SC; four grandsons- Austin, Landon, Liam and Tyler; two sisters- Joan Williams of Hepzibah, GA and June Williams of North Augusta, SC.

Charlie was predeceased by a son, Charlie Brooks Williams III, one sister Norma (Brooks) Jean Williams and one brother Stephen David Williams.

Arrangements to be made at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Please join us on Thursday, June 15th at 2pm. for a Celebration of Life Service for Charlie Brooks Williams, Jr. It will be at the clubhouse of Harbor Town Condominiums, located on Saluda Lake, 1 Spinnaker Court, Greenville, SC 29611. Charlie’s old friend, Pastor Bill Rigsby from North Anderson Baptist Church will lead the service. Visitation with the family will be after the service.
