Carolyn Orr Thompson of Atlanta passed away peacefully on September 28. 2015. Carolyn was born on December 02, 1918 in Cumming, GA. Her husband of sixty years, Patrick Malone Thompson, preceded her in death, as did her sisters Christine Welchel and Judith Orr of Dunwoody, GA. Carolyn had a thirty-five year career at the Southern Railway, retiring in 1979. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Sheldon of Blairsville, GA, and Donna Burbank Douglas of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Michael Sheldon Teri of Norcross, GA., Todd Sheldon Shelley of Roswell, GA, and John and Sadie Burbank of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren Alexander and Abigail Sheldon of Roswell, GA; and, niece Jan Richardson Alan of Dunwoody.
