Betty Carra, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026.
Born on May 29, 1943, in Floral Park, New York, Betty lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, humor, deep faith, and a great love for her many dachshunds. She worked for Ferguson Enterprises for over two decades before retiring and took immense pride in her faith and her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter Jeanne Sandvik and husband Giles; granddaughter Nicole Bossak and husband Andrew; and great-grandchildren Rhett and Stella. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Paola Langstaff and grandson Alvaro; her daughter Mary Farmer and husband Shane; granddaughter Ariana Polek and husband Austin; and grandson Brody Farmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Ecklreiter; her sister, Mary Ann Sudlow; and her son, Edward Langstaff Jr..
Those who knew Betty will remember her for her beloved holiday dinners, her beautiful garden, her love of crafts and sewing, and most of all for her German pride and deep faith in the Catholic Church. Her presence brought love and laughter to all who were fortunate to know her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church, followed by interment in the columbarium. Guests are invited to gather at the church following the service.
