Andrew Morrison Mock died on November 8, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was 24.
Andrew was born in Atlanta on November 9, 1990 to parents Francis Ray Mock and Sarah Steinman Mock. He attended Atlanta International School through 7th grade and graduated from Pace Academy in 2009, where he excelled academically and played varsity baseball. Andrew was a Hope Scholar at Georgia State University studying Finance. He also worked at Chastain Park and Bitsy Grant tennis centers.
Andrew was a beloved son, brother and brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, grandson and friend. He enjoyed playing, watching and coaching baseball—especially with his nephews—and was an enthusiastic Atlanta Braves fan. He was a lifelong animal lover from the moment he got his first pet. His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal, generous, fun-loving person.
Andrew is survived by parents Sarah and Ray Mock; sisters Joanna Irwin and Martha Matthews; brothers-in-law Ian Irwin and Carson Matthews; nephews Henry Matthews, Ben Matthews, and Charlie Irwin; and niece Sadie Irwin; all of Atlanta. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family will hold a memorial service at Peachtree Presbyterian Church on Thursday, November 12 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Atlanta Braves Foundation or Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters.
