William Julius Champion

William Julius Champion Bill died in hospice care Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia, due to complications following colon cancer. He was 76.
Mr. Champion was born on March 19, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to his parents, Charles and Mary Champion.
Mr. Champion was a generous and supportive family man and friend with a passion for fishing and the outdoors.
Mr. Champion was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Champion; his brother, Charles Bubba Champion; and his sister, Shirley Byas. He is survived by his son, Jason Champion and wife Ruby; his daughters, Michelle and Sheila Champion; his sisters, Joyce Fred Fields and Mary Davis; his brother Calvin Bernadette Champion; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Champion was cremated on Thursday, February 5, 2015. His son took possession of his ashes and will later decide on a fitting resting place for his remains. To honor his wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service.
