Mr. Berger was born in St. Joseph, MO to Gene and Loretta Berger on December 7th, 1941. He attended the University of Missouri from 1959 – 1963 where he was a member Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in advertising from the School of Journalism.

He married Victoria Vicki Ann Glendenning of St. Joseph, MO in 1964. While serving as a Captain in the Missouri Air National Guard 1963 – 1978, he began a career in advertising that would span 42 years.

The Berger’s relocated to Atlanta in 1978, where Mr. Berger continued his advertising career in both Account Services and Creative. His last years were as the Creative Director of Freebairn & Company in Atlanta. His greatest pleasure was mentoring the many young men he hired and worked with during his career – many of whom went on to open their own agencies.

Mr. Berger retired in 2004. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world with his beloved wife Vicki. But his favorite time was spent with his granddaughters, sitting on his front porch on his swing.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bob Berger of St. Joseph, MO.
