Robert Jasper Moore

Robert J. Moore, 84, of Decatur, Georgia passed away May 7, 2010. One of his greatest loves was people and man’s best friend; he was one of only 23 “all breed” dog show judges in the country. Until December, 2009 when he had the honor of judging best in show at the Eukanuba World Championship Dog Show in Long Beach, CA, he had spent the last 50 years traveling the country and the world doing what he loved most; judging shows. He was born in Memphis, TN and spent much of his career at a division of Kraft Foods after serving in the U.S. Navy and attending the University of the South. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Gene, sons Andy and Tom, daughters-in-law Carol and Jane and five grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Sam, and Becca, of Atlanta and Vicki of Northern Virginia; a brother, John and his wife, Donna of Bonsail, CA. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 1438 Sheridan Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30324 where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 with senior pastor Chuck Frost officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
