Paul Picquet, Sr., 84, of Roswell died January 3 after a valiant fight with cancer. Born in Olney, IL to Walter and Eva Barber Picquet, he served on the U.S.S. Midway during the Korean conflict. He graduated from the University of Tennessee.
Paul married his college sweetheart Dottie Glenn in Nashville in 1957. His career was in transportation management and he retired in Atlanta as a VP for Country Home Bakers. In retirement, Paul was very active in the East Cobb Classic Golf Club.
Paul leaves his wife Dottie and 4 children, Paul Picquet, Jr. Mary Ann, Evette Deaton Randy, Elaine Stokes, and Walter Edward Picquet, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his brothers Hal and Norman, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Mass at 2:00 Friday, January 8 at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, will be followed by a reception. Inurnment will be 12:15 Monday, January 11 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Donations may be made to CRU cru.org #2872645, or to St. Ann’s Pastoral Care Ministry.
