Mary Ellis, age 74, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away November 7, 2012. Mrs. Ellis grew up in Lansing, MI where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Clarence Bud Ellis. A lov-ing wife and mother of 3, Mrs. Ellis went on to become a Real Estate agent after moving to Georgia in 1986. Loved by all who knew her, she was once active in New Neighbors and the Red Hat Society. She loved her gardening and book clubs and was especially fond of playing bridge and bunko. She was also a member of American Legion Women’s auxiliary Post 50.
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents , a brother, Richard Haynes, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Haynes.. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Bud Ellis, daughters Mich-ele Stan Hall and Julie Mike Calhoun and son Barry Kelli Ellis. She is also survived by brothers’ Kenneth Gaye Hoxie and Vernon Haynes, as well as sisters’ Charlene Haynes and Tillie Margaret Frohock. She celebrated 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 11 am, with lunch to follow service, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Her cremains will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
