He is survived by three children: Cheryl Lane, Terri Collins, and Michael Finch, along with their spouses and a loving family of seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Lee’s life was marked by remarkable achievements in various career fields, spanning from his early days on a Tennessee dairy farm to becoming an electrical engineer after graduating from the University of Tennessee and then venturing into other careers. His technical career included supporting military electronics for US aircraft and even a top-secret assignment at Area 51.
Beyond his technical career, Lee ventured into several other careers including: home building, real estate brokerage, and dinner theater proprietor. His accomplishments included building numerous homes personally and professionally, developing the largest RE/MAX office in the world, and constructing condominiums and rental cabins in Helen, Georgia.
Lee was known for his passion for cars, boats, and motorhomes, collecting a diverse array of each over the years. He and his wife, Billie, embarked on countless motorhome journeys, exploring the US and Canada.
A devout Christian, Lee’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He dedicated his life to building relationships, helping others, and keeping God at the center of everything. In his later years, he created the “Our Journey” website, offering inspiration, encouragement and potential life changing direction to people worldwide. When Lee took his last breath here on Earth he took his first breath in Heaven with Jesus. Knowing where Lee is now gives us peace and comfort. Lee’s legacy lives on through his family, friends, associates and the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Billie, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, friends and all who had the privilege
of knowing him.
