John Hinson

John Bascom Hinson II, of Atlanta Georgia departed from this world peacefully due to complications of muscular dystrophy on January 11, 2017 at his home at the age 62. John was born in Charlotte, NC on November 15, 1955 to John Bascom Hinson Sr. & Sylbia Thompson Hinson. Later
graduating from Emory University, Collage of Dentistry, went on to run successful practice dentistry for many years.
John traveled the world extensively and found a great appreciation for this world’s many cultures how we express ourselves through art, architecture cuisine and fashion. It inspired his own artistry of life and enriched those around him as he expressed himself through exquisite meals, dapper attire and sculptures from steel and stone. John will be remembered as a cosmopolitan adventurer, vivacious Bon vivant, Philanthropist with an abundant source of love and optimism. Johns legacy to us will be his curious inquisitive nature, inspiring us to enrich our lives with diversity acceptance and optimism. and we celebrate him with a puckish smile.
John’s is proceeded by his parents and he is survived by his partner in life of 16 years, James P. Gallaher, many cousins and a family of friends.
There will be a celebration of John’s life at Ri Ra Irish Pub On the corner of 12th St. and Crescent Ave on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 2:00pm until 4:30pm.
