Jefferson Lee Davis

Jefferson “Jeff” Lee Davis, Sr., 97, went home to Jesus on September 28th, 2025. He
died peacefully in his Alpharetta, GA home with his wife of 68 years at his side. He was
born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He served in the US Navy during The Korean War
before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business from The University of Georgia.
He worked in insurance and invested in and managed several properties, including
Lamplighter Village in Marietta, GA. He enjoyed visiting his family cabin on Lake Burton,
attending Creekside Church, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs game every fall
Saturday.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Wiley Davis, 3 children Jill (Chuck) Furstenau, Jenny
(Mark) Alrutz, and Lee (ShewJen) Davis, 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Creekside Church in Cumming, GA on November 9th
at 2 PM with a private burial the following day. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be
made to Creekside Church or a charity of your choice.
