James Aubin Smith

Mr. James A Smith, age 68, of Ellenwood, GA passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, surrounded by family.

Jim was a graduate of Riverwood High School in 1974 and the University of Georgia in 1978.

He had a long career working in the lumber industry, from Mid-Cape Center in Massachusetts to PlyMart in Georgia.

Jim was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints working with the young men, scouts and serving in the bishopric.

He is loved and missed by his wife, Karin K Smith; his sons- C Nathan (Amanda) Smith and John A Smith; his daughter Ainslie (Kyle) Gable; his grandchildren- Emma, Jack, Ben and Eli.

He is also survived by his siblings; John A (Diana) Smith, Paula (Bob) Bosshardt, Susan DeLeonardo, Mark A (Galyn) Smith and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:30 am, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2100 Lake Jodeco Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
