Jack Lewis Sandlin, Jr., 77, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 28, after an extended illness. A native of Savannah, Mr. Sandlin was a career soldier in the Army. After military retirement he returned to college to finish his degree in nursing. He and his wife Barbara were married for 56 years. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two children, Samuel L.
Sandlin of Miami and Cary Locklier of McDonough; six grandchildren, James Hauffa, Jessica Ragan, Jerry Colley, Amanda Colley, Haley Locklier and William Locklier; and four great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, September 3, at Henry Baptist Church, 4035 Jodeco Road, McDonough. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so make a donation to the charity of their choice.
