J E “Jay” Pritchett passed away on November 27, 2012 after a short stay at Floyd Medical Center. At the time of his death Mr. Pritchett resided at 241 Old Rome Road, Kingston Georgia. Mr. Pritchett was a communicate of the Catholic Church. Mr. Pritchett was self employed as a flooring specialist and worked with his Step Father, Andy Fraser, i.e. Fraser and Sons, Atlanta Georgia later in Chatsworth Georgia. Mr. Pritchett was a U S Marine, commissioned in San Diego California. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter gunner.
Mr. Pritchett was preceded in death by his infant brother Billy, Chatsworth, GA his father, William Pritchett, Guntersville AL , his stepfather, Andy Fraser, Chatsworth GA, and his Mother, Doris Layman Fraser, Chatsworth GA.
Mr. Pritchett is survived by his wife, Regina Swinford Bishop, Kingston GA, his daughter Tina Coffey Charlie, Lafayette, and his granddaughters, Traci Lewallen, Ringgold and Candi Coffey, Lafayette. Mother in law Gennette Swinford survives and stepchildren surviving are Stephanie Collum Jimmy Rockmart, Neil Bishop, Adairsville, Carrie Bishop, Augusta, and Michael Bishop, Kingston, Grandchildren surviving are Landon Bishop, Neely Collum and Brennah Collum.
Mr. Pritchett is survived by siblings Andy Fraser Michele Chatsworth, Avilla Patterson, Chatsworth, Kim Fraser, Chris, Douglasville, Tina Arnold Gene Dawnville .Several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews survive. Aunts and Uncles, Guntersville AL also survive.
A private memorial service will be held for Mr.Pritchett at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The Family will be receiving friends at the home, 241 Old Rome Road, Kingston, GA 30145 from 2 until 8 on Friday, November 30, 2012.
The City of Kingston will mark directions to the home at the corner of the Kingston Highway and Roberson Road.
