Howard Francis Livingston

Howard Livingston passed away on March 27th at age 89. Born in 1927, he was married to Lois Livingston for 57 years until her death in 2007. His passionate and engaging life generated a wealth of stories, all told well. As a devoted English Professor at Pace University, “Doc” had a meaningful and lasting impact on many of his students who have remained close to him over the years. He was an avid fan of the NY Giants football team and the founder and editor of Inside Football. Though he was a lifelong New Yorker he enjoyed spending the last year of his life close to family in Atlanta. A celebration of his life will take place in Mt. Kisco this summer.

May the family be comforted by the words found at Psalm 34:18; Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. The beautiful promise for the future at Isaiah 25:8 is also very comforting. It says: He (God) will swallow up death forever. And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe the tears from all faces.
