Loved him so much…
I love you pop like my own father. We sure had some great times on the side by side tooling around the farm. I know you wanted 60 cattle to work and we are going to do our best to continue your dream of being a cattle rancher!
What an honor it was to care for you for the past couple of years. Godspeed! Always! Your daughter Sheri.
Harold Grant was my father. He was a good man. A professional man, an entrepreneur, and a Christian. He brought Service Master to the Bloomington, IL. area and developed well above carpet cleaning; he expanded it into fire restoration and at one time a personal cleaning service. He was very intelligent and loved to tinker. He pelted chinchilla fur and sold them. I remember he would cut off the tail and save them for me..back in that day it was like a rabbits foot. He would sing to me “yes Thur she’s my baby..no Thur I don’t mean maybe..yes Thur she’s my baby now” not a typo it was Thur and not sir. He fathered 4 children – Ronald Grant, Judith Lowe, Dawn Grant, and Joel Grant. He had 9 grandchildren and 2 step daughters that added 2 additional grandchildren. He had many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was a Christian man; and elder in the United Pentecostal Church in Bloomington, IL. He married Carol Byers Grant which proceeded him in death. He lived 97 years! Surpassing anyone else in the Grant family. He will forever be missed but always in my heart. I Love You Daddy.
He was the grandfather of our daughter Debbie Goff. She loved her grandpa very much and was beside his side as much as possible! Their is a hole in her heart right now😥 he lived a great life and happy she could be part of it!
Daddy, Although for part of your journey we were apart I will always carry you in my heart. I am never without it
anywhere I go you go. Whatever is done by me is your doing and you are whatever the moon has always meant and whatever the sun will always sing is you.
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows the sky of the sky of a tree called life which grows higher than soul can hope or our minds can hide. This is the wonder that is keeping the stars apart. I will always carry you in my heart. I will miss our talks and your sense of humour. You said your “bags were packed” and I know you are dancing with the stars and in the arms of God. Your loving daughter, Judith
