Frederick Needham Moore

Frederick Needham Moore, 94, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. Mr. Moore was the youngest of seven children born to Ettie Pearl Moore and James Andrew Moore in Loganville, Georgia. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Grayson High School, attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #227 in East Point, Georgia. Mr. Moore retired from Georgia Power Company in 1984 after 37 years of service.

Mr. Moore spent the last 2 years of his life as a resident of Ashton Senior Assisted Living in Gainesville, Georgia. The staff there provided him kind and loving care for which the family will always be grateful.

He was predeceased by his parents Ettie Pearl Moore and James Andrew Moore, sisters Ruby Henderson, Katie Mae Hastings and Elizabeth Jane Little and brothers Gus Moore, Guy “Bill” Moore and Tom Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marguerite Sylvia Hardeman Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Kathy Moore of Fayetteville, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Mike Windhorst of Gainesville, Georgia; grandson and family, Hank and Kristin Windhorst and great grandchildren Ward and Annie Windhorst of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughter and family, Emily and Jonathan Wisdom and great grandson Nathan Wisdom of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The family will hold private graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Loganville, Georgia.
