Evelyn Clark Buckley

Evelyn Clark Buckley passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
She is survived by her three children—Patrick (Jodi), Tara (Greg), and Timothy (Catherine)—and by her nine grandchildren: Connor (Kim), Shannon (Hannah), Ciaran, Yenatfanta, Dagem, Joe, Harry, Ceilidh, and Arin. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren—Killian, Caitlin, and Evie—with one more expected soon.
Evelyn retired in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer of Optimizing Services Inc. She was generous to a fault, meticulous in all things, and a fierce advocate for her family, whose lives she shaped with unwavering love and strength.
In keeping with her wishes, no formal memorial service will be held. Her family invites those who knew her to honor her memory in their own meaningful ways.
I will always remember Missy as fierce, spunky and caring soul. I am so thankful that we had an unplanned visit with her on Saturday. She looked great! I commented on how wonderful she looked, and she thanked me and said, “You know, I’ve lived 87 years, that’s a full life. I don’t want to be a burden!” Then we talked about how her family lovingly cared for her, especially Joe and Tara. I know your hearts and home will feel empty without her.
My grandmother was a pillar of strength—both in the life she built for herself and in the family and community she nurtured with love and unwavering grace. Some of my fondest memories are of Grandparents Day and our special lunches together, moments that now feel like treasures. She was fiercely protective, standing up for me when my brothers teased me, and always finding ways to lift me up. She built a village around her that deeply respected and loved her, and I’m so proud to have been a part of that. While I wish I had visited her more, I carry comfort in remembering her exactly as the remarkable woman I always knew. Thank you, Grandma. May you rest in peace.
