WISER, ERNEST D, “ERNIE” of Kennesaw, Jonesboro & Stone Mountain, GA, 81, passed away Thursday May 28, 2015 at Sacred Journey Hospice, McDonough, GA. He was predeceased by his parents, Elwin and Anna Wiser, brother Jack and daughter Penny Marie. He is survived by brothers Paul Rosemary, Dale Betty, his loving wife of 39 years, Wanda: daughters Diane Scott Reiman, Pamela Benjamin Boyst, step daughter Tammy Richard Brown, step son Terry McCormick, grandkids: Alyssa Reiman, Kaitlin Gottuso, Steven Reiman, Sandra Maples, Martin Maples, Christopher Boyst, Cody Boyst, Zac Brown, Randall Anna Sowell, Nicholas McCormick, Sean Lynch, great grandkids: Trey Zecco, Leo Fredericks, Kimberly Boyst, Peyton Boyst, Nolan Boyst, Nicholas McCormick, Jr., Max McCormack, Earl McCormick, Austin Sowell.
Ernie graduated from Harpursville Central High School, was a Korean War Veteran, US Army Security Agency, Military Policeman. Ernest was awarded the US Army Defense Service Medal for his service in Korea. He worked 19 years as a truck driver, snowplow operator for Broome County Highway Maintenance Dept. Ernie also distinguished himself by resuscitating a co-worker trapped in a salt bin, for which he received the American Red Cross Life Saving Award, signed by President John F. Kennedy.
A life-long Methodist, Ernie earned the rank of Master Mason 32nd York Rite Degree, Member of Windsor Lodge No 0442 F. & A.M., Vallonia Chapter No 80, Royal Arch Masons, Sir Knight, Malta Commandery No 021, Knights Templar, Endicott, AHWAGA Council No 30, Cryptic Masons and Noble of YAARAB Shriners A.A.O.M.S., Atlanta, GA. Ernest was most proud of his work at the Annual Shrine Circus to raise awareness and funding for the Shriners’ Children’s Hospitals.

Celebration of Ernest’s life starts 2:00 P.M., Saturday June 20th, 2015 at Windsor Masonic Lodge # 442, Windsor, NY, Internment in Port Crane Cemetery, NY, with military honors at 4:00 PM.
