Doris Sandra Heflin

Mrs. Sandra Heflin, 70, of Atlanta died at home on August 10, 2010, She was a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Sandra was a resident of Atlanta for over 40 years. She graduated from Auburn University in 1961. Sandra taught elementary school for several years, a member of the Citadel Garden Club and an antique dealer for many years in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel Joel R. Kincaid and Jean Holloway Kincaid. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Beavers of Hickory Flat, Georgia, Craig Heflin of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Nicole Beavers of Atkinson, Georgia, Schuyler Heflin and Craig Heflin Jr. of Atlanta, her sister, Bobbie Winger, of Vero Beach, Florida and nephew, Scott McMichael, of Atlanta. A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Northside United Methodist Church, 2799 Northside Drive. Flowers are accepted or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American lung association.
