Donald F. Hampton, born October 24, 1930, passed away
May 5, 2015. He is survived by his niece, Linda Roy, her husband
David, Jacksonville, Fl., and Jorje Ray-Prada, a friend of many years.
He is predeceased by his mother and father, Zetha-Mae
and Ernest H. Hampton, his brother Larry R. Hampton, and
niece Sara Hampton.

Don graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1948 and
from Florida State University BA Science in 1957. He received
his masters Degree MS in Education in 1961, and went on to
receive his PHD in Education at the Northern Illinois University
in 1971. He was Phi Delta Kappa, Univ. Tenn. Chapter and President .
He taught at Paxton High School, Paxton, Fla., and the University of
Tennessee until retiring in 1994.

Don served as Chapter Advisor of UTK Chapter of the Student Tennessee
Education Association STEA for many years, and for seven year it was
in the top five chapters in the US.

Don proudly served in the USA Army, spending two years in
Stuttgard, Germany, and was honorably discharged in April 1953.

Since retiring in 1994, Don has resided in Atlanta and enjoyed
his friends, gardening, the Camellia Society, Citidel Gardening
Club, the neighborhood book club, the Atlanta Opera Guild and
traveling. He will be missed by many.
