Mollie Bly Grimaldi

Mollie Bly (Galloway) Grimaldi, 74 of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born on August 31, 1944 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Robert Earl Galloway and Jacqueline Marie Stone. She was the eldest child and first daughter with 5 siblings. Her brother Mark preceded her in death; her surviving siblings are Jill, Gregory, Nan and Mary Katherine.
She was a loving wife to Anthony (Tony) Grimaldi for over 35 years. She was a mother to 3 children (with husband Peter J. Forgione, Sr.); Laura, Peter and Anthony Forgione. She was a wonderful, doting grandmother to 5 grandchildren whom she adored. She was so happy to become a great-grandmother to Jackson Sheppard who he called Nonna as she requested on her last visit with him.
Mollie moved to Orlando, Florida with her family as a young child and graduated from Maynard Evans High School. She loved nursing and graduated at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida; Georgia Baptist College of Nursing and Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated with honors and became a Nurse Practitioner. She loved her career and excelled in her job for many years until she recently retired.
She traveled extensively with her husband enjoying the cultures in England and Paris especially. She mostly cherished her family vacations at Disney World with her grandchildren as well as her annual family summer weeks in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Per Mollie’s wishes, she did not want a formal service upon her passing and her ashes will be spread in her paradise off shore in New Smyrna Beach with family present.
