I was so sorry to hear about Ed’s passing. He did tremendous work in Atlanta over very many years to promote Irish culture and history, and the links between our two parts of the world. He was also great company, and retained a glint in his eye, and an ability to make shrewd and witty observations, even when facing very significant health challenges. I know Ed will be greatly missed by his many friends in the Hibernian Benevolent Society, the Metro Atlanta Police Emerald Society and by our wider Irish community in the region. Sincere condolences to Ed’s family and friends.
I am so sorry to hear of this. He was such a light and joy to know. Sending my condolences to your family during this time.
Dear Susan,
I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your dear father. I too lost my father in 2010 so I know the pain your heart feels. The passing of a loved one is never easy and I pray that God gives you and your entire family peace and strength during this very difficult time in your lives. Please know that my thoughts, prayers, and sympathies are with you all. Ed was an amazing man and will forever be missed.
Someone shared this sentiment with me and I’d like to share it with you. “Grief is a dark place, but every good wish from a friend or neighbor is like a candle of comfort and strength that helps us remember and re-emerge into the light”. I pray that my words of comfort brings you and your family just what you need to begin your journey of healing and that as time passes your pain becomes less and the treasured and happy memories you have of your dad brings you comfort and peace because it’s the memories that we carry in our minds and hearts that keeps them alive.
May your dear father and my good friend Rest in Peace.
Kindest regards,
Sondra
