Gene Carolyn Adams

Gene Carolyn Adams, 76, died peacefully on July 25, 2017, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. after an extended illness.
Gene was born on March 16, 1941, in Monterey, TN. Early in her career she used her beauty and social graces to become one of Delta Airlines’ Marketing talents. After more than 30 years, Gene retired from Delta Airlines as part of the International Reservations team in 2004. Gene never married and had no children as she was much too busy exploring the world, living life to the fullest, and looking for that perfect husband. “Auntie Mame,” as she came to be known, lived the high life of hotels, shopping trips, and parties while always looking like a “million dollars.”
Gene is survived and lovingly remembered by her nephew Steven (Vernon Osting) Boswell of Palm Springs, CA., niece Suzanne Boswell of Monterey, TN.; great nephew Lance Hull, also of Monterey, TN., and 1st cousin Johnny Gill of Knoxville, TN .
Gene was loved by all with a special mention to Walt & Della Hopkins, Patsy King, Judy Powell, Jane S. Grant, Shawne Dervay, Wanda Balsley, Ann Watson, and Mary Davenport who made a lifetime of memories together with Gene during both the good and tough times.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank “Ace” and Jessie Lee Adams, sister Ann Boswell and her long time feline companion, Elizabeth Lee Adams.
