Edward Campbell Schweers, of Atlanta, Georgia, known to all as “Camp”, passed away on Thursday April 13, 2017. Camp, age 26, was a dynamic young man, loved by his family and numerous friends for his thoughtful, kind and personable nature. He was positive, fun loving and always present with a great attitude. Camp was a leader among his friends and his ever-present smile made all who encountered him immediately connect. He always looked out for those who needed a friend and was creative beyond belief.

Camp was an excellent athlete who played baseball and football at NYO (Northside Youth Organization), often coached by his father, Ted. He was a die-hard Alabama and Atlanta Falcons fan. He graduated from Riverwood High School, where he played football, but was most regarded as a standout goalie on the varsity lacrosse team. He attended Georgia State University, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He worked for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and Ashford Advisors in Atlanta, Ga.

Camp is preceded in death by his four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garban of Sandy Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schweers of Sandy Springs. Camp was caring and giving to his three younger brothers. He was a beloved son, brother and friend and is survived by his parents, Ted and Carrie Schweers of Sandy Springs, in addition to his brothers, Drew, Reid and Cole.
