Dave, Paige and David, Mike and I are so sorry for the loss of your dear father. Mr. Sobek was our favorite usher on Sunday morning at the 8:45 am Mass. He always greeted us with a smile and when we were hurrying in a little late he would throw up his hands as if to say “what’s going on Tilley family, you’re cutting it close!” Dave, you have been a loyal son to your dad. You have watched over him every day. You took care of him during his most vulnerable days. You showed your love and devotion by your presence in the moments of his life. Paige, you have such a big heart. I loved the story of when you and your sweet mom just happen to score the “Mac-daddy” recliner for Mr. Sobek and how proud he was to have the best recliner on the hall. Mr. Sobek loved you, Paige. David, it is hard to lose so many heroes in such little time. Your grandfather will join those dearly missed loved ones and watch over you. We are thinking of you all and pray for your comfort. And know, he lived a beautiful life.

  11. Michael Perry Harley says:

    Dave, Paige, and David,
I’m very sorry for your loss of Dave’s father. As I mentioned to Dave, he was always my “favorite adult”! Growing up with Dave in our high school years and spending many hours at his house, I felt like I always learned a lot from Mr. Sobek. And he was fun!. Not sure my memory is quite as sharp now, but he would on occasion have a beer with us. And I’ll always remember the great graduation party that Dave’s parents threw for us as we were moving on from high school to college to life. And you learned life lessons from Mr. Sobek along the way. A funny thing, but to this day I’ll never forget him teaching me how to make a proper phone call. Have used that my entire life – especially in business.
He made a big impact and I know you will miss him. Condolences and you are in our prayers.
    Mike Harley & Kim
