“A lady always knows when to leave.” Carol R. Anderson (born Carol Elizabeth Prusinsky, on May 24, 1921) matriarch of our family, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 28, 2022, to be with her one true love Dean C. Anderson, Jr. She was just shy of her 101st birthday.

As a member of the “greatest generation”, she represented herself well accepting adversity head-on, living for today, and loving her family with everything she had. She was as tenacious as ever even after a fall left her bedridden. She was incredibly intelligent, disciplined, strong, fiercely loyal, willing to help anyone in need and was never short on advice for better health and living. The quintessential ‘50s woman, she carried herself with the grace and character from a bygone era. She was exceptional in so many ways and her family feels incredibly lucky to have been witness to such a long and well lived life.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robynn Parker. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Carol Lea Valente, granddaughters, Kristine Valente Carroll (Timothy M. Carroll), Michelle Valente Lee, Deana Cole (Joe), Dawn Lyons (Casey), Danielle Courtney (Steven), great grandchildren, Madelyn T. Carroll, Parker Cole, Jay Cole, Robynn Tatum (Joey), Will Cole, and Brayden and Brooks Lyons.

Pursuant to her wishes, Mrs. Anderson’s remains shall be buried in the Garden of Mercy at Sawnee View Gardens. A private ceremony will be held in the Spring for immediate family members.
